Roger Thomas Introduces New Designs to Namesake Global Views Collection
New pieces from distinguished designer pay homage to Europes’ architecture and art

| Las Vegas, NV - October 20, 2023 | Roger Thomas, the former 40 year design lead of Wynn Resorts and founder of The Roger Thomas Collection, introduces new lighting and home accessory pieces in an expansion of his namesake collection with Global Views. The new offerings consist of seventeen designs, including table lamps, a metal planter, numerous interior accessories, and a torchiere. Calling on diverse inspirations ranging from ancient Greece to cubist architecture in Prague and Gothic churches in France, the refined designs pay homage to Thomas’ lifetime of travel and a deep appreciation for history.

"My designs are often informed by what I have been fortunate to observe through my travels, and a refinement that comes with time,” says Roger Thomas. “These latest additions to my collection with Global Views are the result of those diverse inspirations and years of reflection."

Kylix Torchiere: Thomas reinvents the Kylix drinking cup used during significant occasions in ancient Greece for his Kylix Torchiere. The resulting silhouette features graceful curves to create a sense of tradition and sophistication.

Delphi: Hailing back to the form thought to be the center of the Earth by ancient Greeks, the Delphi Collection features refined simple silhouettes inspired by 3000 year old Cycladic and Egyptian forms. Thomas’ homage to this ancient form is available in five variations and complete with delicate curved handles.

Cubist: Inspired by the cubist architecture and decorative arts unique to Prague, the Cubist vase and bowl are the result of years of study and revision.

Capitol Table Lamp: For the Capitol Table Lamp, Thomas explores the many variations of the simple column, elaborating on forms he remembers from a Gothic church in southern France.

Stack Lamp: Contrasting deep textures with smooth surfaces to achieve drama, the Stack Lamp was inspired by Quoining on the corners of the Louvre.

Via Margutta Metal Planter: A prominent street of artists' residences in Rome and the address of Thomas’ favorite movie, Roman Holiday, Via Margutta is the perfect planter to honor the classical romance that is abundant on the storied cobblestone thoroughfare.

Magic Flute: The fluted column shafts referenced in the Magic Flute Collection represent Thomas’ enchantment with the simplest innovation for the cylindrical form. Made of brass and steel and finished in bronze with brass detailing, this collection consists of two boxes, a cachepot, and candle holders.

The newly debuted Kylix Torchiere was featured alongside select new pieces from the Roger Thomas Collection at the Global Views High Point Market showroom (D213 + D220) in High Point, NC October 14-18, 2023. The complete collection is available at globalviews.com.
