ALL NEW VERSION OF SWICK BOARD MARRIES HEALING POWER OF OCEAN WITH HIGH POWERED AUDIO SYSTEM
SWICK Board 2.0 Will Feature Eco-Friendly Manufacturing and Charitable Component Through Exclusive Kickstarter Campaign

| New York, NY - November 21, 2019 | Me and General Design launches the 2nd edition of their proprietary SWICK Board, featuring a host of enhancements including an all new audio package that is hand crafted by Leon Speakers in Ann Arbor, MI and powered by the new SONOS. Additional features that bring SWICK Board to the next level include a sustainable manufacturing process that consists of upcycling used boards, as well as charitable contributions to the International Surf Therapy Organization (ISTO). Concurrent with the debut of SWICK Board 2.0, the company will launch a Kickstarter Campaign, offering a major discount to first buyers of the new version.

Conceptualized and designed by Brooklyn-based creative duo, General Judd and Cristina Casañas-Judd, SWICK Board 2.0 is a surfboard inlaid with high quality audio speakers and ambient LED lighting. SWICK Board is now only manufactured by sourcing used boards at the end of their life cycle through the ISTO global community. ISTO brings together the world’s leading surf therapy organizations, researchers, clinicians, scholars, and practitioners to collaborate on research to help drive growth and understanding within the surf therapy sector. The boards are then sanded down to remove any imperfections, repainted, and re-glassed using bi-resins, bringing awareness to the shaper community and alternative practices used during the manufacturing process.

“Our goal for the SWICK Board 2.0 Kickstarter is to build a community around our mission,” says General Judd, Co-Founder of the firm. “We hope to generate funds to create a legacy around responsible manufacturing, that will provide a living to the shapers who bring new life to our boards and a revenue source for surf communities. We want to keep as many surfboards as we can out of landfills and SWICK’d out for many years to come.”

SWICK Board 2.0 has an audio quality that elevates the unique design object, featuring wifi connectivity that makes interface with the speakers even more user friendly. The clarity of Leon Speakers will provide top notch audio to both indoor and outdoor spaces, and pairing with the board through SONOS is simple and straightforward with the company’s app.

"We are thrilled to minimize our footprint on the environment with the second version of SWICK Boards,” says Me and General Design Co-Founder Cristina Casañas-Judd. “In addition, we are glad to be supporting the ISTO, a charity that can utilize the healing power of the ocean to perpetuate wellness.”

The SWICK Board 2.0 Kickstarter Campaign will run from Thursday, November 21st to Monday, December 23rd, 2019 and will feature special gifts at every donation level, from a fully SWICK’d board to a Mini tabletop version that works on the go.
