| New York, NY - March 13, 2019 | BLACKBARN has joined with integrated media hub, BlackBook, to open an experiential art gallery: BlackBook Presents. As a business, it will operate under an innovative model at the crossroads of art, media, design, and branding, while hosting seminal culture events and disseminating various forms of content across multiple platforms.

The gallery brings art, design, media, and content to life, representing emerging talent to famous masters, and displaying mixed media installations among photography, paintings, performance art, design pieces by Mark Zeff, and more. BlackBook Presents has secured exclusive representation of artists Francesca Galliani, Giampietro Favero, and Bob Tabor, and pieces from such prominent names as Andy Warhol, Irving Penn, Diane Arbus, Hugh Arnold, Peter Beard, Christopher Tennant, Daido Moriyama, Andrew Wyeth, and other notable talents.

“When walking inside of BlackBook Presents, you experience the diverse and fluid 4-dimensional culture we have cultivated,” says Evanly Schindler, Founder and CEO of BlackBook Media. “You are walking inside the virtual and real-life experiences that are part of BlackBook’s culture as an art gallery, events space, host of panel discussions, hub for product, video production, social, and more. One of our unique business offerings is exclusive quality content that is specifically created from the experiences and events that take place at BlackBook Presents. This content is then distributed across BlackBook’s channels, other media, and social media platforms so it scales to millions of viewers.”

BlackBook Presents is an expansion of renowned interior designer Mark Zeff’s partnership with Founder of BlackBook, Evanly Schindler, in which the designer fully reinvented one of the brick and mortar locations of his artful lifestyle brand, BLACKBARN, to give the media company a “real life” presence. The setting captures the resulting company’s refined essence and forward-thinking ethos in one of the most unique and beautiful spaces in New York City; a loft with the charm of high-ceilings and vintage touches taken from the building’s history as a 20th century factory on the river's edge in DUMBO, Brooklyn.

Designer Mark Zeff says, "BlackBook Presents integrates art, design, content, retail and ecommerce with artists, consumers and brands in an innovative way. We are on the forefront of art, design, and entertainment, with a focus on showing and representing provocative and revolutionary talents in all of these spaces."

In addition, BlackBook Presents’ space itself is for rent, offering exclusive, curated and fully produced experiences, events, parties, conferences, panel discussions, pop-up shops, etc., in its unique gallery and design environment. The company can also create multimedia content assets around any experience including: video, social media, photography, curated VIP guest lists, food & drink, and live entertainment.

The BLACKBARN lifestyle brand represents a blend of industrial, artful, refined, and understated sensibilities. It redefines luxury, from creating bespoke homes for those who desire unconventional simplicity to combining farm vernacular with elegant style in a carefully curated group of objects. The brand’s ethos and aesthetic come to life in a DUMBO, Brooklyn shop, filled with hand-selected furniture and homeware pieces, custom-designed and sourced from around the world; it takes an additional dimension at New York City’s Black Barn Restaurant where seasonal, rustic fare meets a modern farmhouse atmosphere.

The most recent development, BLACKBARN Chelsea Market shop, cafe & bar changes the way New Yorkers dine and shop for home goods by uniting hospitality and retail, in a homewares and accessories shop with a café & bar, to create the total brand experience.

The storied system behind the brand is perhaps best captured in the book, BLACKBARN, published by ORO Editions in 2015.
