VENUS WILLIAMS' V STARR INTERIORS AT NEW ROCHE BOBOIS SHOWROOM

| New York, NY - January 17, 2018 | Roche Bobois and Venus Williams’ firm V Starr Interiors doubled up for Miami Art Week 2017. The companies hosted a decadent dinner for special guests, including Venus Williams with friends as well as artists, developers and hoteliers, at the luxury furniture brand’s newly opened Design District showroom.

The space was styled by the tennis icon’s design firm specially for the dinner and included a lush Miami Beach-inspired lounge setting featuring the brand’s iconic Mah Jong sofa reimagined by Kenzo Takada, shrouded with natural greenery to create an ultimate relaxed sophistication.

A grand 30-person dining table was assembled for the occasion, using several of the French furniture brand’s LESS IS MORE dining tables surrounded by sleek DYNA dining chairs designed by Sacha Lakic. The tables were set with crystal by Saint Louis, France’s oldest glass company, and tableware by Hermes paired with chic Puiforcat Paris flatware.

The evening kicked off with a cocktail hour, DJ’d by Jina Marie, with champagne courtesy of Roederer. Guests were later treated to a decadent four course meal by Chef Frederic Joulin, of Semilla Miami and former private chef to President Jacques Chirac of France.

The dinner began with a theatrical start: a first course of caviar and king crab was brought to life with dry ice, and was followed with a black truffle ravioli and a third course Japanese Wagyu Filet Mignon. The meal was topped off by Saint Honore puff pastry served by the chef himself, and a Camus Cognac tasting.
