AIMÉE WILDER INTRODUCES THE FREQUENCY COLLECTION OF TILE DESIGNS
Versatile Patterns Adapted from Shadow Wildling and an Expanded Color Palette

| New York, NY - September 27, 2022 | Multidisciplinary artist, designer, photographer, and founder of her eponymous brand, Aimée Wilder debuts the Frequency Collection. Compiled of four retro and wavy tile designs adapted from her Shadow Wildling series of large-format silk screened art works, the versatile collection draws inspiration from Wilder’s textile design background to explore tessellation, positive/negative space, mathematics, fractal dragon curves, and nuanced color relationships.

The new tile collection introduces four colors to the Aimée Wilder palette—Nimbus, Wave, Brick, and Camel— along with a variety of new colorways fit for every project.

“It was a wonderful artistic practice to adapt my Shadow Wildling series to a tile format meant for large area application,” shares Aimée Wilder. “Along the way, I found ways to make the tile patterns practical— with up to four pattern options for each design and expanding our palette to introduce that meet the needs of commercial and residential projects alike.”

Doozie: Acting as a building block, the two toned Doozie tile design can be arranged in a variety of layouts— including Ticket, Ziggy, and Wavelength. The simple module allows designers to mix-and-match colors to create a one-of-a-kind retro flair.

Tile Colors: Fern, Wave, Deep, Nimbus, Powder
Dimensions: 8 X 8 X 0.5 or 0.625 inches (20 x 20 x 1.27 cm or 1.58)

Snake: Snake achieves a winding, psychedelic maze pattern by combining four different square modules. Each tile is designed to connect seamlessly to its neighbors, allowing for endlessly varying configurations.

Tile Colors: Azure Brick, Cobalt Swan, Mango Swan
Dimensions: 8 X 8 X 0.5 0r 0.625 inches (20 x 20 x 1.27 cm or 1.58)

Ying: Ying is a groovy stripe design inspired by the positive/negative curves and dots of the yin-yang. The only rectangular tile of the new introductions, the dimensions measure in at 16” x 8”.

Tile Colors: Tan Camel, Nimbus Night, Verde Honeydew
Dimensions: 16 x 8 x 0.625 or 0.78 inches (40 x 20 x 1.58 or 2 cm)

Zen: Zen uses negative space to create the optical illusion of an undulating weave pattern.

Tile Colors: Spruce Gypsum, Brick Lotus, Fir Moss

Wilder was born and raised in New York and graduated from the School of The Art Institute of Chicago in 2001. She has held positions as a designer for several iconic firms including DwellStudio, Martha Stewart Living, and The Gap. Transfixed by the world of textiles and design, she launched her namesake wallpaper brand at New York’s ICFF in 2009 after her first fashion licensing contract with Vans in 2008.
